Today was the annual surf carnival at Brighton hosted by the Brighton Lifesaver club.
Lots of competitions, the main one being the swim from Glenelg to Brighton. The swim was called off due to the dangerous conditions.
We have had some very warm weather however today it was very windy and rain though not really that cold, 21C but compared to the 30C + days cool.
and below is how the same day looked last year!!!
Quite a few surfers in the water taking advantage of a little bit of surf that generally is non-existent at Brighton.
Below a video of a surfer avoiding the paddle out to the back of the 'surf' and jumping from the jetty instead!
It was a lovely walk, certainly got rid of the cobwebs in my head!
